WWBS?- America’s Downgrade a First

So is there still credibility in this administration? It appears that all of the speeches, press briefings and political grandstanding have come to a head. From Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, to Senator John “I’ve served in Vietnam” Kerry, can’t anyone in the Democrat Party take responsibility? You can’t tell me that this downgrade came as a surprise? And how did David Axelrod get into the mix?  

WWBS? What What Bull Squish or better yet What Would Barry Say? Do I see another round of golf or another family trip sometime soon? No comment from the Commander In Chief. America was lead to believe then Senator Barack Obama was the smartest man in the room, America’s best hope to turn our struggling economy around from the brink. Well it seems we have met up with brink again.

What we have witnessed is a parent leaving the keys to the family car to the unlicensed, untested, and unproven fourteen year old. Not having any record or any creditable history to back these claims we Americans are the ones that will suffer for inexperience.

For Senator John Kerry and David Axelrod to push blame onto the Tea Party shows their level of professionalism and maturity. Speaker crafted a budget bill that would have cut way more, but President Obama threatened to veto before reading. Who was more serious about our economic situation the President or the so called Tea Party wing of the GOP? This is not a game where you can just pick up your ball and go home.

The United States has a serious debt issue hanging over our heads and we can not find one serious elected official in Washington to confront our threat with any degree of professionalism. Obama’s course of action would to be raise taxes and spend more money. That is what got us here in the first place.

This is a game for big boys and serious contenders, not for the childish, thumb sucking, snot wiping bratty kid. S&P downgraded the U.S. for one reason and one reason alone, we can not pay our debt.

May God see us through this season and bless our men and women in uniform.

Eat Your Peas Gaggle of Six- Calling O’Bama’s Bluff

Well here in few weeks our country will face default on its debt. The Commander in Chief along with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was at it with their scare tactics in hopes to confuse and further divide the American people. The United States is in no position, in my humble opinion, to ask for more credit. Coming from a man that showed coolness, a no worries attitude during the Democrat controlled congress, Mr. The Buck Stops Here failed to pass a 2010 budget.

The Commander in Chief wants to place blame or pressure on the shoulders of the wealthy, demanding that they pay more taxes. Keep in mind these are the job creators, ones that run business. If they see their production cost go up, you’ll see less people getting hired and price hikes for the consumer. Now over the last six months or so, the Republicans have put forth budget blueprints, The Ryan Plan and Cut, Cap, and Balance, only to be shot down by the Democrats, mainstream media, and fellow Republicans. We are not in position.

President O’Bama’s plan, along with the Democrat party feel the only solution to our countries almost certain outcome, a down grade in our credit rating, is to raise taxes. The more money the federal government is able to collect is the more power they gain over the governed.

I support the Cut, Cap, and Balance approach. We need to cut spending, cap it and live within our means by producing a balanced budget. Majority of America supports a balance amendment. Even if we were to increase taxes on the wealthy, we still wouldn’t have enough money to tackle our debt. It will have to come from the governments end to lead by example. Tighten their belt, because we know the federal government retains its control through taxation and social programs.

I ask you, what voice holds more weight that of “We the people” or “I’m from the federal government”? Raise Taxes on the Wealthy, But Not on Kobi-Job Creators vs. Athletes

First the NFL and now the NBA, what will be next, D.C.? What direction will our nation go? Will we go the road that led to many nations in Europe went that broke them or will we do what needs to be done and bring to an end the out of control spending. Congress has at best two weeks to construct a bill that will cut spending and show that it will work on bring down the deficit, but the means of getting there is the issue. The President wants to raise the debt ceiling, plus raise taxes on the wealthy and the Republicans want to cut spending, plus lower taxes. What makes more sense, you be the judge?

I find it amusing to listen to sports lover defend how much an athlete makes, but despises how much a corporate man or woman makes. Athletes want more money for what? Don’t they make enough already? Well it is not up to me to say how much is too much, so why the same can’t be said about the job creator. Sure the athlete has created jobs, you have an agent, maids, gardener and maybe a driver, but no one is talking about the owners of theses professional teams. The owners have a business to run. They are not in business to insure every player that ever steps out on the field or court will be a millionaire. They are in the entertainment business and they need to make money in order to keep it running. If they were to separate themselves from every dollar they make they would be broke in one season. That is not how you run a business.

In the case of President O’Bama and his fifth round or sixth round or seventh, how rounds is this? On his most recent attack on the private sector O’Bama is stirring up emotions against the job creators, for what, because his nearly $1 trillion stimulus didn’t work? In 2006 then Sen. O’Bama voted against raising the debt ceiling, but now sounds like a good idea. The economy was better then, but I think he was just playing party politics. In 2007 the Democrats regained control of the House and Senate only to increase spending, these are the Blame Bush crowd that is saying the Republicans are obstructionist. What because we can not sustain this debt no longer?

December 2010, O’Bama signed into law the extension of the Bush Era tax cuts. After all of the arguing that Bush 43’s tax cuts were the culprit of our nations decline, O’Bama extends them, because it was good for the American people. During that time he threatened the private sector that he will not renew them again as if the top wage earners were the only ones to benefit. The tax cuts were not only for the top, but for the bottom wage earners as well.

O’Bama wants our elected to show more leadership when O’Bama himself should show a little more by showing more fiscal restraint. We Americans can’t spend our way out of private debt, nor can the government. Lower the corporate tax rates to draw more jobs to our shores and ask that our elected lead by example by demanding to cut spending in a serious way. Higher taxes are not the answer.

National Security Vs. Entitlements-Who Will Make the Cut?

People call for cuts across the board, everything is on the table. One side wants to raise taxes on the wealthy, which I ask define wealthy, and the other side wants to cut spending and balance the budget. The problem we run into is how to get there? Who will make the cut?

First allow me to start off by asking this simple question, when did Americans stop wanting to work or earn a living and began to dependent on the government for support by means of taking from others? It says in the Bible that if one doesn’t work they starve. We as private citizens need to make cuts as well in our own lives. That means get rid of the cell phones, internet, and cable TV. If you smoke, well right now would probably be good time to quit.

I find it alarming that on one side of the aisle we find them declaring war on the wealthy, the rich as if these blessed individuals took this capital (money) by force or at gun point, but they fail to see the economic impact they would have if all of a sudden out of nowhere decided to close up shop and bring their ball to another court. The rich need the middle class, and the middle class need the rich.

The Greenland shark would be legally blind as far as our standards are concerned, but God have given this mighty creature a much needed companion, a worm. Now this worm plays a very powerful role in this shark’s daily life. This worm feeds off the cataract like clouding that takes place in the Greenland’s eye, thus permitting the shark to maneuver around.

The same can be said about another mighty creature found in the ocean, found on the bodies of mighty hunters the Remora fish clings to the sides or underbelly of sharks, feeding on scraps and possibly eating bacteria found on the skin of the shark.

Taking into account the small creatures and the roles they play on the bigger players in the game of life, couldn’t we agree that the same can be said about those that feel they are less fortunate? In the Ten Commandments it say not to covet, and here’s society coveting others fruits.

President O’Bama shortly after taking the Oval Office enacted an $800 billion stimulus plan that was to prevent unemployment from surpassing 8%. Well I guess the Czar in charge of that department used the wrong formula. The only jobs we are left to assume benefited from this small ($800 billion) amount of dough are the public sector government jobs, leaving the private sector to fend for themselves (i.e. shovel ready).

So heading into his third year in office we continue to pile debt on top of debt ($14 trillion plus), dish money out to colleges so they can study the drinking habits of college students, build squirrel suspension bridges and mating habits of the bark beetle, we can’t find places to cut money from?

We need jobs for Americans. We need to cut those from the public dole that are able to work, but not willing to work and yes they can find things to cut in the military, but not the size.

Where does the Astroturf ‘No Labels Party’ stand on the social issues? Pass a balance budget amendment, cut the size of government and lower taxes by laying out a clear proposal that will help eliminate uncertainty. These are things that were suppose to be taking place over the last three years, but I guess we’re still on our honeymoon.

Caught Between Barack and Higher Taxes

It was great to see the first family return safely from their trip to Ireland searching for O’Bama’s lost roots. Drinking it up thanks to a man named Guinness and just having a down right great time, while Joplin, Missouri is acting out of initiative, because that’s what Americans do, to pull the community together. President O’Bama had to break away from a trip to make a camera appearance one week after the fact. Obvious the speech was not earth shattering, because the media is not replying it over and over.

New jobs report came out last week showing that the economy is not as great as O’Bama would have liked. Most of the jobs created on the report were by McDonald’s, the company the First Lady is trying to get the toys out of the Happy Meals. So the unemployment rate ticked up to 9.1% and here are the Democrats trying their best to make themselves look good by blaming the Republicans for the up tick. Cut the uncontrolled spending, lower the corporate tax rate and then the jobs will come. But those greedy politicians want the hard earned money of the working man rich or middle-class.

It was briefly reported on that the American tax-payer stands to lose $14 billion dollars. This will be $14 billion dollars that will not be paid back used in O’Bama’s desperate attempt to save union jobs. There was one U.S. auto maker that did not take the tax payer dollar, and that was Ford. They showed they will weather the storm and come out strong and they did.

Home values drop, except for in D.C. and Washington State. So we have not reached bottom as far as home values are concerned.

President O’Bama is spending more time campaigning than fulfilling the things he said he was going to fix about Washington as President. Internal polls must be driving him crazy. So let the record show, O’Bama is not up to the job.

Blurb: Lifestyles, Dodge ball & A Box of Hard Candy

The era of federally crafted parental controls finds another way to shut the parent out of their children’s life. Maybe the federal government should muster up some tax dollars and mandate all children under the age of 26 to spend their time in a plastic bubble and watch Richard Simmons 24/7. I find it funny and quite sad that we the people voluntarily vote away our rights to guardian or parent our children. The federal government is basically saying that we don’t know what we are doing when it comes to living our lives.

Recently in the City of Brotherly Love, some bright inspiring legislator thought it would be a great idea to start handing out condoms to 11 year old males, since a recent study uncovered that 25% of those surveyed were engaging in sexual activity. Like Planned Parenthood and their attack on the unborn, now we have a group that is encouraging kids, because that is what they are…kids, to engage in sex at such a young age before they even know and understand what love is. The parent(s) are the last to find out. When are parents going to put the boot down?

Common sense would tell you, which parents across the nation have abandoned and left in the grip of the ever expanding federal government to keep the parents best intention in mind when giving 11 year old KIDS condoms, that is what they are kids, posses a bigger problem than that of giving kids toys in the ‘Happy Meal’.

Now we turn our attention to The Center for Science in the Public Interest. A group made up of behavior control freaks that would want nothing more than having the toy in Happy Meals removed because it encourages obesity. This group wants to force McDonalds hand in removing the toy from their meal by means of suing them. I can speak of my own account. We child and I sometimes go to the Golden Arches for lunch. Of course the little one wants a Happy Meal. What is nice these days is they do offer a healthy selection for the child. We usually get chicken nuggets, apple slices, and milk. Now, that doesn’t sound too unhealthy does it? Well according to this group McDonalds is in violation of the consumer protection laws in four states and one district. Much like Obamacare is in violation of consumer protection laws.    

Parents know what is right (healthy) and wrong (unhealthy) when it comes to living. Parents know that if you give a child a box of hard candy, the child will eat the whole box. So what does a parent do when sending their child to school no long entails them playing dodge ball, tag or red rover? Should parents feel that their kids are now safer because the court system of the Great State of New York stepped in? People act as if you were to put foam bumpers up on every corner of the house and throughout the entire school a child will not get hurt. Parents are scorned if their child is caught riding a bicycle without a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads, but the child could fall off this two wheel machine and impale their eye on a stick. So are we going to require children in order to ride a bike will have to wear goggles? Absurd!

So in closing, it is not okay for kids to eat ‘Happy Meals’, but it is okay for kids to get condoms without their parents consent and engage in sexual activity. With kids being pushed to act in an irresponsible manner, then the results will reflect. Higher STD reports in later stages of the disease will wipe out a good percent of our youth. Bottom line, parents need not be afraid to parent. It takes courage and drive. God bless Our Great Nation.

Klanned Parenthood - Wrong Place at the Wrong Time

Abortion! How would you describe abortion to a five year old that by chance heard the word in school? Would you attempt to put it in simple explanation form like “Wrong place at the wrong time” or “UNWANTED”? Neither explanation would give the child a clear picture of what abortion is.

You could take the stance that then Presidential Candidate Obama took in 2008 while attending a forum at Saddleback Church “It was above his pay-grade” or “wouldn’t want to burden one of his daughters with an unwanted pregnancy”. With that statement, not much hope for an unborn child exists. If you were to take into consideration the background President Obama has under his belt you would think he would be a strong supporter of life, but that seems to not be the case.

Many providers (Planned Parenthood) of this heartless practice also deliver new life into the world. Having had read some comments of some the abortion doctors, they feel no positive feelings about their practice or any sense of reward. Why be in practice if the work you embrace offers no sense of reward? The reason people pursue a career in medicine or the medical field is to make a difference. A passion is present that drives the individual to make a difference in society.

Abortion has been referred by some as a “necessary evil”. If the ones that practice this medical abuse feel guilty but stay in the practice for the money then doesn’t that say something? So is the encouragement of abortion really fought out of bringing in more money to a clinic since the legal practice of abortion is not done in hospitals?

At one abortion clinic in Texas, every other Saturday of the month would perform anywhere between twenty-five to thirty-five abortions at $800 a pop, big money for ten minutes worth of work that took 13- week to create. Sure the clinic offers other services like breast exams, STD (sexually transmitted diseases), and family planning, but it is the abortion service that brings in the money. The other services were reported as to making Planned Parenthood lose money.    

At one time before Roe v. Wade abortion was legal in the United States, but then deemed as illegal just to be legalized again by the courts in 1973. So the argument then was, why not bring this sensitive subject before the people of the United States and have a vote. Could it be that many politicians were banking on this so called land mark decision, backed by lobbying groups such as Planned Parenthood to keep the anti-abortion bill from ever seeing the light of day before the American People?

Just who is Planned Parenthood? Well Planned Parenthood has a dark creation. Margaret Sanger was an advocate for American Eugenics Society (Eugenics- forced sterilization) and founder of Planned Parenthood. She saw the poor and those with disabilities as “weeds” and “morons”. Even Hitler praised her work to the point of crafting most of his Eugenics work after America’s distasteful law.

In 1939, Sanger headed “The Negro Project”. Which I’m sorry to say was geared to eliminating the black population from the American soil. Sanger is not a woman for human rights, but just the opposite.   

How is abortion any different than let’s say…cutting or self mutilation? Abortion activist state that a woman has a right to do to her body as she pleases, right? Well for those individuals that want to cut or self mutilate have a right to destroy their bodies as much as a woman has the right “by law” to destroy the life inside her womb. The difference is in the case of cutting or self mutilation the individual is met with intervention by family and physicians. In the case of abortion, family is strongly encouraged to stay out of the loop and the patient is not likely to be well informed on what she is carrying inside her body.

As of late legislation is being drafted that will require any abortion provider to provide an ultrasound of the unborn child as a part of the counseling process. Many “Pro-Choice” supporters say that this is an infringement of their constitutional rights. What to inform? To help the young, scared, pressured lady make an informed decision that will greatly affect the rest of her life?

Abortions are big money. Planned Parenthood made $200 million in profit last year (2010), while receiving federal money to run their mill. At a time of shrinking the belt of soaring budgets and de-funding programs that really aren’t out to promote a better America, Americans all across the fruited plains reserve the right to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

President Obama’s healthcare bill funds abortion simply by providing monies to Planned Parenthood. Debt on Arrival

So the out of control spending comes to a head. No restraint, no concern. The federal government is on the brink of shutting down by the very work of their hands. It wasn’t the tax payer that created this gridlock. It was the unchallenged, unchecked spending practices of our elected officials.

Many would argue that this is politics, or the way sausage is supposed to be made, but when does the spending stop. The federal government has made it their purpose to have their finger or stake in everyone’s pie, when they should focus on what their function should be, national defense, the creation of laws (constitutionally) and the defense of those laws, but the government has ballooned too big to even do the latter of the three.

The federal government has put themselves in a position that the essentials in life are no longer mentioned. The federal government has placed themselves in a position that snares over 40% of our U.S. Citizens in a life of dependency on the federal government. For starters, dependency of the government is like slavery and secondly, these social programs are not tooled for Americans to stay on them indefinitely.

Now that a group of politicians want to cut the trees back, a lot, another group of career politicians are crying foul. America is in deep financial trouble and it was of no concern for when the Democrats held majority in both chambers last year. The threat of government shutdown should rest on the shoulders of every Democrat, and yes even President Obama’s.

The credit cards are beyond maxed out, and the Democrats want to apply for another card only to do the same, max it out. Some social programs will have to be cut, i.e. Head Start Program, free breakfast and lunch at school, certain Medicaid recipients and the list goes on and on. This was something the President said he would address, entitlements, but failed to do so. The President also said when taking office he would go through the budget line-by-line, but I guess he was too busy for that.

So if when the clock strikes 12 midnight and the carriage and glits and glam return to their real form, pumpkins and mice, will Americans be doomed? I doubt it. Carry on with your lives and let the smartest people in America figure out that raising taxes still leave the Federal Government in a troubling situation. If they fail to address the underlining issue, spending, their can be no budget proposal or tax increase that will fix their problems. Last November America voted for smaller government and lower taxes, and that is what the elected that ran on those issues are doing, cutting the government down to size. Swimming With Lead Boots-Political Jockeying In Defense of Weak Foreign Policy Efforts

The President of the United States does not offer one self to OJT (on the job training). Now that President Barack Obama has a record and can’t vote present, or has he, we will see the toughness of the young president that was hyped with so much favor. Don’t misunderstand me, regardless the person occupying the office I would continue to proudly serve our great nation.

The Chief has no clothes. Then Candidate Obama, traveled to Germany to apologize for the United States in turn motivated the Norwegian Nobel Committee to consider the new President of the Free World for the Nobel Peace Prize. Remember Obama said he is a citizen of the world, so does that make him the president as well? I am citizen of the United States, not the world. I don’t live under the leadership of a world government. That very well may be Obama’s doctrine.  

Obama wanted to approach foreign policy differently than his predecessors. He didn’t like the cowboy approach and he didn’t like the ‘Exceptional America’ approach. Obama wanted to craft a foreign policy that would require the United States to take a more backseat approach. This policy was on display for all to see, even for our foes and potential foes.

Obama wanted the world to see him as kind of like Cool Hand Luke. So this lead him to believe that being a more passive America would be a stronger and more respected around world America, but the opposite happened. Since Obama has telegraphed or exposed his hand, our nation’s enemies know what to expect out of him. Russia drew his inexperience out of him when during the Presidential Election Russia went into the once satellite state Georgia. His response to how he would handle the situation was viewed as weak.

So now what we are seeing unfold around the globe is a world that harbors evil men that see America as no serious player in the world today. Obama is seen as no action till he has to react. In my opinion when you have to react, it is already too late. It is better to be proactive than reactive.

I seriously believe that Obama changes his policy according to what is poll friendly at the time. Libya was intended to show Obama’s strength on corrupt regimes. Well how about Iran, Palestine or North Korea?  Avoiding a lead role on the ‘No Fly Zone’ over Libya, Obama punted the lead role to France.

It would be less painful and less costly if the Norwegian Nobel Committee would offer a Nobel Peace Prize to Gudofi, like what they did for Yasser Arafat in 1994. Or maybe all Gudofi wants is a Pepsi, just one Pepsi or beer summit. This would all hold well in Obama’s foreign policy roadmap for America.

It strikes me strange that Gudofi went underground for many years, especially during Bush 43’s ‘War on Terror’. Now that America shows weak leadership he has resurfaced as a threat to world peace again? What would cause that? Maybe you can tell me.

Now onto the media that built this president. They continue to say how courageous President Obama is by handling Libya the way he has, but pounced on Bush 43 for taking a tough stance on Saddam. The problem the news media is in today is they have invested too much resources and money into Obama. They can not allow his short comings or failures to be seen on the public stage. It is almost like they are saying “We’ve come to paint Obama’s mule.” Obama in the media’s eye is too big to fail.

I do want to thank The Commander In Chief for adopting, begrudge, President George W. Bush’s foreign policy and his reason for keeping Club Gitmo open for service. President Obama has really justified President Bush’s actions in Iraq. If Obama’s actions in Libya are viewed as courageous and well thought out, then should we all be recognizing Bush for his unwavering leadership on the war on terrorism? The media portrayed, along with many Democrats, Bush mishandled the war, but yet we see Obama copy many of Bush’s practice.

President Obama thought that it would be good for his re-election campaign to show off his toughness, and so we have Libya. It worked for Bush, why not Obama. Obama approached the handling with a no leadership role what so ever in case the campaign in Libya gets messy. Obama has compromised U.S. foreign policy.    

In closing, when committing troops to any foreign conflict at any degree you do so to win. Our men and women in uniform are too precious to be used in half ass ways. If Obama is doing this political jockeying for re-election it will not work and oh yeah, while you were out Mr. President, we took the liberty of changing the locks on the White House.

We’re Not in Kansas Anymore Toto- Beyond Big Labor Brick Road

I know it seems like many moons ago when then candidate Barack Obama was talking about how he was going to go through the federal budget line by line to scrap any needless programs, well did a budget come out of Congress last year for 2011? No they didn’t, they signed a extension to get them through I believe September, plus I guess it would be easier for them to plunge our country further in debt by spending money that isn’t there.

Unlike the federal government, states are required to operate within a balanced budget and the case in Wisconsin is no different. Governor Scott Walker campaigned on reform and getting the state budget under control, well that is just what he’s doing. The same is being done here in the State of Arizona. Now many “compulsive spending Democrats” would claim that the state that are asking for huge cuts are coming out of states that are governed by Republicans, but they would be wrong for thinking that, governors in California and New York are pushing for large cuts to their state budget.

Now onto the unfolding issue in Wisconsin with the ‘Big Labor’ crowd. Everyone’s favorite VP, Vice President Joseph Biden said that “We all need skin in the game.” Now if I heard him correctly, that means labor unions as well, but labor unions are trying to get a pass on all these mandates that affect the budget as a whole.

Labor unions pleaded to get an exemption from participating in Obamacare, and now they wish not to chip in a little more for their great benefits. A friend of mine said that teachers don’t make all that much, but in the State of Wisconsin on average make as much as I do. Plus how is the cost of living?

Now I do not want to come across as a man that is against the teacher union, because I do support great teachers and my daughter has one of them educating her. I feel that organized labor does not have the best intentions in mind for the employee or the employer and in this case it is the State of Wisconsin. If the labor unions want to be more liked by the majority instead of being a “bully” that demands their way or the highway then they need to take a look in their trunk and consider a reform themselves, because they spend oh so much money asking the Democrat Party to their bidding.

The argument in Wisconsin is that Gov. Walker is trying to destroy labor unions, but he is simply saying no collective bargaining at this time. Collective bargaining is like bipartisanship, both sides come to an agreement and in most cases one side is asked to compromise their principles in order to move the process forward. Gov. Walker stated that in order to get the state budget under control he will need for union members to pitch in more or face a massive lay-off.

I don’t know about you, but it appears that the teachers can careless where the money comes from. Teachers left the classrooms to ask the government to contribute to deficit spending, which is not a good lesson in economics. In order to save the organization, if it calls for me to contribute a little more towards my benefits and pension then I’m game. The labor unions do not create jobs, nor do they care about where the organizations budget lies. They fight for high wages and Cadillac benefits for everyone, but it is unsustainable over the long run.

In closing, these labor union bosses need to go and allow the union be the strength of the business not the cancer. Profits are ate up by labor unions and not used for their needed purpose and that is for times like this, a slow economy. Big Labor needs to reform and think about the company they work for. If that company were to board up their doors one day, where is the labor union then, assed out of a job? God bless America and I pray that the protesters will come to a sensible resolution and not demand to have their cake and eat it too.

Following the news that broke Friday afternoon stateside, it took the people of Egypt eighteen days to force the sitting president that was re-elected in 2005 to step down and retire his powers to the vice president and the military. The military has come out saying that they will insure fair and free elections this coming September in which would have marked the end of Mubarak term.

This is a big victory for liberty and people for freedom, but now the tough road in protecting liberty and freedom lies ahead. With Muslim Brotherhood wading in the wings, the People of Egypt need to set their sites on what is best for their nation. Muslim Brotherhood can be detrimental to the movement towards a country of free peoples. Groups like the Brotherhood will use revolts to usher in their ideology, phasing in their radical form of control, government, almost without the citizen knowing that the corruption is taking place.

If it is a free country not pinned down by the fist of a heartless tyrant they want, then the Egyptian people need to be very careful on who they elect into office. If the people want to continue to have positive relations with surrounding nations then electing the right person is very important. They also need to consider electing cabinet members that will represent districts in Egypt, and not allow them to be appointed. Representation.   

Should the United States have any role in Egypt picking their next president? No! President Obama misstep when getting on television broadcasting to the world that Mabarak needs to step down, when only a few short weeks prior praising this man.

I have said that the road towards a free nation will be rough, but worth while. Like in Iraq, Egypt may encounter resistance towards democracy. There will be those that will see their influence stomped out by this new hopeful way of governing and do everything in their power to disrupt this progress.

If Obama wants to be of any help, he would be the needed support this country hungry for reform needs by supporting them behind the scenes not on television. Keep in mind, Egypt along with Israel are among the few strong allies we have in the region. With the latest news coming out of Pakistan, anti-America protesters will be encouraging Egypt to support their cause. Only time will tell if the vacuum created by the ouster of Mubarak will show signs of positive change or begin to look like what we saw in Iran.

My prayers are with the people of Egypt. My prayers are for their courage to stand for freedom and not fall for shady tactics that will further repress them.

Man, woman and child set out leaving all that was familiar to them to come to a land that was untamed and filled with many unknowns. There are those that hate the fact that the white man came to what is now known as the United States to colonize and develop, but we have become a place where people aspire to be like. When I say “like” I mean similar. The United States is like no other nation on God’s green earth.

Through the times of human history we have seen similar stories. One that comes to mind is when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt which you can read for yourself in the Book of Exodus chapters 5-13. Living under the hands of a tyrant was not living at all and that is what we are witnessing in today’s events. We Americans did it during the Revolutionary War 1775. The colonist had a yearning that is in all men, a yearning to be free.

Many nations around the globe today find that element of freedom a foreign concept. I will allude to the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan a bit for my analogy. Think of freedom being a foreign food or candy. At first taste you don’t like or afraid to admit you like in fear of being ridiculed over becoming to much like those that offered the treat, but over time after being exposed to this foreign treat you begin to like the taste of it. You begin to notice all the flavors of culture and heritage that went into producing this treat called freedom. Not wanting this experience to end you want to have some for yourself so you can share with others knowing that they will respond like you once did, unsure.

Freedom is mans every desire. We saw this reaction in 2009 with the re-election of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The people felt that their voices were not properly considered, so they took to the streets to voice their outrage with the results. The people felt they were cheated by this tyrant, dictator and now wanted the free countries around the world to stand with them in protest, well where was the United States in matter? Obama chose not to get involved even after Ahmadinejad turned off all internet connections and TV broadcasting showing the riots in the streets.

We are seeing people wanting to be free. With the continual development and unfolding of events in Egypt, Jordan, Yemen and Syria following suit, Americans need to support Democracy. President Obama did take an admirable approach to the issue, but his lack of American foreign policy experience left him in a bad position due to his past comments when he gave a speech in Cairo before winning the election in 2008.

Allow me to use an example I learned when taking a class in world perspectives. When serving in the missions’ field you must allow those that give their lives over to Christ to worship the way they are lead to worship. We can not expect people in the Amazon to worship Christ like those in a Baptist church located in the Heartland of America. Freedom in Christ is what these believers in the Amazon are living out, so must democracy.

All America can and should do is encourage the people of Egypt to demand fair elections this September. If they want democracy then they should practice it now. Prospective leaders or candidates should be groomed and vetted to ensure the peoples desires are met and free of any pressure made from terror groups that see an opportunity to capitalize on the situation. Egypt needs to hold elections that will elect a man or woman that best represents Egypt.

How President Hosni Mubarak stayed in power this long, 30 years, is beyond me. Who elected him in the last 30 years? Mubarak needs to be a man of his word and not run for re-election, on the other hand appointing a president because he is a face in the crowd could also be equally bad for Egypt.

Mohamed ElBaradei may be a Nobel Peace Prize winner, but does that make him president material? If he truly believes in a free democratic Egypt then he needs to show a degree of tolerance to Israel and that he is willing to allow the sitting president to finish out his term, which ends in September. Then and only then if the electing body of Egypt concludes that he is what they want, then the throne of the presidency is his for the time being.

Freedom takes responsibility from all that enjoy it. Freedom can come at a cost that many do not want to put up. Freedom is still a foreign substance in many regions around the globe and America needs to be that model of freedom. My prayers go out to those that want freedom, but don’t know how to get it. My prayers go out to those that find themselves in leadership positions that require them to protect freedom. Man was created to be free, not enslaved or repressed.

State of Dysfunction- A Response to the State of the Union Address January 25, 2011

Was this State of the Union Address Obama’s William Jefferson Clinton moment? During President Obama’s historical campaign for the Oval Office he said this, “Just words, just speeches”. Going through the motions but no real passion was on display. Dog and pony show, all caught on prime-time television. One more thing to check off Obama’s bucket list, rule a nation.

I find it a great privilege to live in a nation that allows its citizens to watch and hear their elected president speak on live television. I also find it a great privilege to retrieve the transcripts of ‘The State of the Union Address’ on my computer and then further comprehend it.

Tuesday night, January 25, 2011 was one of those days that we as a nation tuned into our local or cable channel to watch and listen to the 44th Commander In Chief address the nation. Listening closely to every word that communicated from the teleprompter before dropping out of Obama’s mouth I asked myself how different will this State of the Union differ from last years? Unemployment is still too high to show any real economic rebound and the housing problems continue to rear its ugly head. Difference is, Obama was not attacking the GOP every other statement.

In light of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords strong recovery, our nation is known for its direct, face to face contact with our elected officials. Many nations around the globe do not share this right hard fought right. So debate will continue regardless how the Left Wing try to spin the media and yes civil debate is healthy.

President Obama mentioned that, “At stake right now is not who wins the next election -– after all, we just had an election.” But it seems to me that he is not a student of his own words. He is in full throttle election mode and only picking up speed. Any word yet on his birth certificate?

Obama, “It’s whether we sustain the leadership that has made America not just a place on a map, but the light to the world.” Again, Obama is not a student of his own words. Before taking office he bad mouthed America and continued to due so after his Inaugural. Sitting a church for what twenty years with the message structured around how ‘White America’ has robbed the world of its wealth. It doesn’t sound like a healthy message to hang your hat on to me, let alone a philosophy of principles to govern by.

June 2009, modern-day recession ended and recovery began. During the latest State of the Union Obama touts that the recession is over and the market is roaring back, but he stated that the market will not be used as an approval index and we seen the market take a hit Friday, January 28th due to the unrest in Egypt. We are still in a recession. People are still losing jobs in great numbers and houses are still being foreclosed on in record amounts.

Obama likes to say progress is measured by the progress of the American people, but wants to confiscate hard working Americans wealth. I don’t know what to believe about Obama, will he punish the hard workers and reward the loafers? I don’t know, but it sure does sound like it taking into account the words that dressed the pages of his two books.

Everyone would like a good paying job, now more than ever, but it is unrealistic to think that it would only be fair if everyone made the same amount on money. It is like saying that it would only be fair if the wealthy would pay more in taxes, and then again define “WEALTH”.

If we as a nation of revolutionary ideas are going to win the future, government needs to allow the private sector do what it does best, innovate. The federal government is the one that sets tax rates for corporations not the corporation. If Obama would like to see nations around the globe invest in America, then he needs to show America that he is serious in bringing jobs back to our shores.

Obama has a hard time cutting the budget by axing social programs, but has no issues of axing defense. Now in the defense budget we’ll find NASA. Well for many that didn’t know already, NASA is conducting there last couple of space missions. Will NASA be funded by private investors? Your guess is as good as mine. On the social program, in the Bay Area, doctors are conducting sex changes on the taxpayer’s dollar. Should the tax payer be paying for such procedure?

Obama found it to be the appropriate time to attack Big Oil. You know how Americans hate Big Oil, but I find Big Government more of a threat to American Society than Big Oil. It is the federal government that has the spending problem while mounting record deficits, not the oil companies. I’m for clean energy, but I like choice and it is not the governments place to demonize corporations in hopes to gain lobbing support from Big Envio.

For Obama to state that our education system is failing, he would be right. Every year we Americans throw more and more money towards education and still have children not meeting the standard. Is it the teachers or is the curriculum? Every school is different and this is an area I agree with the President. We should reward those teachers, those schools that excel at educating our children and put on notice that are not performing to standard. It’s not a regional issue. All teachers go to an accredited school to get their teaching degree, so they have the tools, but rather fight for more money in their pockets and forgetting who they are, an educator.

College is expensive partly due to the professors. So when professors are willing to take less money then tuition will fall. I can only speak for the community college here in Phoenix, but we have a very good community college program. I wish that the community college offered more degrees, but I’m very happy with the community college system.

Obama went on to talk about lobbying groups, when members of his own staff have resigned to take up the title “Lobbyist”. Like earmarks, Obama said last year that he would shutout lobbyist from the legislative process and the same was said about earmarks, but the evidence is throughout the Obamacare 2000+ page bill.

It is funny to see how many at the Republican Presidential Candidate ideas Obama is trying to make his own today, tax holiday, simplifying the tax code and so on. How about creating another a program that would allow Americans to stay with the current Social Security Program or go to another program that will not be raided by politicians to suit their pet projects?

It is always time to act. Why wait two years to create a spending cut budget, a budget that will reduce the size of government, and not reduce the saving of the American taxpayer. Obama says he cut taxes, but in reality he only kept in place current taxing levels, which in two years time plans on raising taxes.

In closing, I am not in the position to grade the Presidents Address, but I can assure that we Americans do not hate people based on their skin color, race, or religion. This past year was sickening to hear how politicians’ character assassinates a movement, political figure or idea by using the word racist. If Americans can not express their opinion without being labeled a racist, then we have lost the freedoms that so many have laid down their lives to protect.

In the Spirit of Pro-Choice



Today marks a very grim stake in our American History. January 22, 2011 will celebrate 38 years of women being able to do what they will to their delicate bodies per Supreme Court ruling in the Roe v. Wade trials January 22, 1973. This stance that has been widely politicized has resulted in millions of aborted births simply for the means of birth control.

Throughout the course of world history men have taken it upon themselves to terminate life as if of no value. American Soldiers witnessed the aftermath of horrid acts of a society that felt it was within their right to exterminate millions of Jews known as The Holocaust. In Asia, America learned that millions were killed in Cambodia for what is now known as “The Killing Fields” under the direction of Pol Pot. Not that any one of these terrible cases is greater than another, the sad fact is, how these evil dictators valued other peoples lives.  

Though the number of reported abortions in The United States has declined along with the national birth-rate, we still witness the holocaust that has been declared on the unborn. Plan Parenthood on their home page promotes the termination of in their words “Mistake” with the morning after pill. Nowhere on their site can you find anything directing young ladies to hold on to their virginity till marriage or if you conceive life after having “SEX” then put the new life up for adoption. You would think this would be an option that many would want to explore.

Just a few days ago a doctor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was arrested for the killing of newborns with scissors. With Liberal activist groups fighting to keep Roe v. Wade in power, we fail our society for allowing such unnecessary acts to take place. There are many Americans that are unable to have children that would love to adopt a newborn.

Just last month here in Phoenix, Arizona the Catholic diocese disassociated the Catholic Church with a local hospital for performing an abortion at their facility. Though the fight for whom was right is long from over, one would think that medical advances are advanced enough to not run into the argument that the mother will die if we do not terminate the unborn child. Besides the unborn have no rights yet, right?

In closing, this shameful issue comes down to responsibility. As a society, groups that want to make it easy for individuals to wipe their slate clean by erasing their actions or justifying their unwise decisions have hurt our society. We are eliminating the future President of the United States or the next Michael Jordan or how about the person that discovers a cure for A.I.D.S. When will it stop? Where will it stop? Who will stand up and put an end to legalized abortion?

Fairness for the Criminally Insane

 
I would like to first send out my deepest sympathies to the families that were forever affected by this horrifying attack on innocent life. It will take many years to recover from the loss of love ones and the images of horror. The day will not make sense and segments of time will be missing, but rests assure America will be there to embrace you. God bless those families.

It has been one week since Jared Lee Loughner acted out his 3 year old deranged deadly obsession on Arizona Representative Gabriel Gifford. The loss of innocent life was of no concern to Jared. It is still unclear what triggered his two month plan to commit this heinous act and I’m afraid there’ll be little new detail over the next few months, but that did not stop the Liberal media from attacking the Tea Party and Sarah Palin.

Reading a local Liberal newspaper “The New Times”, the journalist insist that with tougher federal gun laws and the reversal of Arizona’s concealment law this tragedy may have not occurred. The problem with that assertion is the law applies to the law abiding, not to those that consciously make the decision not to comply. So we still have an issue here.

If this crime was commit partly due to Arizona’s lax gun laws, and legislation comes down to strengthen those current laws, will we be able to avoid another tragedy such as in Tucson? Chances are no matter the law, people with the means and intent to commit harm to another will carry out that task. Liberal (Republican & Democrat alike) legislators by the actions of one man want to make it harder for the law abiding citizen to get a gun.

Now, onto what we should expect in the courts leading to the conviction of Jared Lee Loughner. Jared will have an attorney (Judy Clarke) that will plead in front of the jury that her client received little or no treatment for his illness and because of the lack of attention spent treating his illness we wish to have him locked up in a state hospital somewhere, having medication shoved down his throat till his death. So what we have here is a defense attorney that will try passing the blame for her defendants action onto the public saying that we failed him. Mind you, Jared is 22 years of age, a man in my book, a dependent in the Nanny State’s eyes.

Now, onto Jared’s parents and their pain they’ll suffer with for the rest of their life. Are they not victims too? This is their son. To avoid harassment from agitators and news media, it wouldn’t be a surprise to here the Loughner Family move to another state. They will have to change their names to protect their identity and to protect from being identified. They will come to a point to either deny the fact that their son could commit such a crime or divorce their son and say they don’t have one.

In conclusion, Stephen Lemons New Times article is almost like he is asking us to profile people in gun sales transactions. Profiling was wrong during the SB 1070 debate, but now it is okay during business transactions. Mr. Lemons also wants to pass the blame onto others for this mans actions. So now we are asked to not hold Jared responsible for his behavior. Allow the justice systems run its course and if he shall the ‘death penalty’ than let that be his fate.

The Biggest Loser Democratic Style

With a new congress in session and the news media already forecasting the talking points that will be heard spoken from every Liberal News Contributor the next couple of years, we Americans look forward to what 112th Congress can do for America and not further empower the Federal Government. I believe us Americans spoke loud and clear our displeasure of the Obama Administration Election Day November 2, 2010? The American voice has been closed out of all arguments on legislation that hit the floor of the House. We were ignored and called Right Wing Extremist or racist, but we saw we were shut out. The White House, the chambers of the House of Representatives belongs to ‘We the people.’

One of the problems Americans have, they have been conditioned over a course of decades into believing that the Federal Government can provide the citizen with their wildest desires. The Federal Government starting with the president during the great depression, FDR, has made every effort possible to be a god like figure to the masses. 

Since FDR, it has become unconstitutional to recite the Lord’s Prayer in school. It is a criminal offense to hold Bible Study groups on school campuses and now you can probably add reading the U.S. Constitution to that list of being unconstitutional. Many in government are offended by freedom that is offered in the Holy Book and the U.S. Constitution.

The federal government has become too blotted and dysfunctional. In order for our country to be strong in the long run, our government needs to be weakened by reducing the size and control the government holds today. If we as a nation place the power back to where it belongs we will be strong, prosperous, and competitive. That is what was seen on November 2, 2010.

For God and country we must save our nation by thinning out the tree from the top. Prune the government tree by eliminating the dead braches and the braches that hinder growth. Why does the federal government choose to thin out the base that supports this ‘Great Nation’? Every one knows that if you thin out the base of a tree one of two things may happen, 1) that portion of the tree will die and 2) the tree may not be strong enough to weather a storm.

The late Ronald Wilson Reagan once said that “The Government is not the solution to our problems, government is the problem.” Every society needs some form of government, no matter how big or small the society is. So the question then lies what role the government thinks it should play? This gives the federal government no boundaries if the government wants to omit the U.S. Constitution from their principles and daily practices then they’ll do that.     

Cutting $78B and 47,000 U.S. troops from the defense spending is not the problem. All this will do is weaken our forces and prompt congress to re-institute the draft some time down the road. The cuts need to start from the top in the House of Representatives and in the Obama Administration. We can start by cutting the ridiculous number of Czars and aids that went unconfirmed behind close doors.  

I discovered a great message for us Americans in a unsuspecting movie, WALL-E. It took a child to force me to watch with them only to find out that it had a big person message stowed away in it. If we continue to allow people to tend to our every need we will get complacent and lazy and when we are faced with making a decision on our own we’re lost.   

Bubbles anyone? We had the dot.com bubble where new sites and sounds were popping up over night and becoming the latest crave among pop culture. Then we had the housing bubble that really brought our Great Nation to Her knees. If you wanted a house, but couldn’t afford it, well you’re in luck because the government will insure you get that house you can’t afford. Now we have what I call a Federal Government Bubble.

 This bubble is the nastiest bubble to come down the aisle. Big government does nothing to grow the economy. Big government, unlike big oil, drains money out of our system. This bubble needs to be cut down to size, starting at the top.

To close I would like to encourage my readers to take back our government by writing your elected representative. Encourage them to cut back spending and the power hunger this beast known as the federal government is displaying for all to see. Encourage them to trust the guidance the U.S. Constitution offers, much like the Holy Bible guides us. Those that shriek away from these two founding documents are afraid of being exposed for who they really are. Keep the faith. God bless the United States.
